Oxigen Services is India’s leading payment solution provider with an extensive retail network for recharges, money transfers, and bill payments. Wallet was getting a good amount of web traffic from organic searches. Still, they were not ranking on a web search for operator-related queries (Vodafone recharge, Airtel bill payment etc.)

The target was to rank on the first page of a web search for operator-related keywords. With many e-wallets in the competition already listed on the first page of Google, Oxigen needed to feature in operator-related keyword searches with high search volume and competition.

Improving Keyword Segmentation: A Strategic Approach That Boosted Organic Traffic

Instead of following the traditional way of targeting multiple keywords from a single page, we segregated keywords based on brands and created separate pages for them. These pages comprised the brands and services, i.e. Idea recharge, Vodafone bill payment etc. With the tech team’s support, we could complete all the tasks and exercises within 7 days.

Within two weeks, the website started showing results. It began ranking for all operator-related queries, and within a month, most industry-related operator keywords began appearing on the first page of the web search.
